About Jo
Jo Harris MA (ATh), A ThR
Art making and people connection have always played essential roles in my life.
Many years ago, when I was a counselling client, my then counsellor suggested I draw an image of the experience I was talking about with her. I resisted this for several sessions, but I finally picked up the crayons and drew my story on paper. Creating and then reflecting on this image with the counsellor was extremely powerful. Using art as part of my therapeutic processing at this time was one of the most useful and biggest “aha moments” as a person. Having experienced the power of creativity, it is my honour to walk with you on your journey.
For the last 20 years, I have worked as a counsellor, educator, facilitator, arts therapist and coach, in organisations and private practice. In the last 8 years I have focussed in the area of grief, loss and meaning making for people who are living with a life limiting condition, and their family members.
My joy is assisting people to find a way forward to grow personally and professionally in challenging times.
